R56 2010 Mini Cooper
Interchange Yellow is a nice color that reminded me of the discontinued Liquid Yellow.
Those who prefer a more delicate shade of yellow will be pleased with Interchange Yellow over the more raucous Mellow Yellow.
I think that the MINI world can benefit from both subtle & loud colors, though my own opinion is that BMW/MINI needs to add more fun, non-metallic colors, to their paint pallette!

BTW sublime, PW is an elegant choice of color for the MINI... Glad you are enjoying yours!
I've been holding off saying anything, don't want to cause a stink. But I ordered my 2010 MCS with H/K on July 31st, nothing said then...nothing "alerting" on the build order...and speaking with my dealer, they've not heard this either.
It's either a case of inaccurate reports, or my salesman not knowing what he's doing and I'm headed down a road of disappointment. But my hunch is the first one.

Harmon is the parent company of Harmon Kardon. The speakers that are included with the "HiFi" system did not meet the quality standards of Harmon Kardon, so they could not bear the name Harmon Kardon... so Harmon put them out, hence the "Harmon" branding on the el cheapo HiFi speakers.
Personally, I would get the HiFi system and install new speakers all around, or the base system and install speakers and amps. $1750 for the HiFi and HK speakers = rip off! Did I read that right, $1250 for the 2010 HiFi system? If so, thats even more of a rip off, and I would go with the standard and have the amps and speakers installed.

Harmon Kardon upgraded stereo - delayed build
I just got back from my SoCal dealer after an exhaustive and thoroughly educational visit. I can confirm everything pennysfbay and MiniLe said, plus some clarification.
My MA let me see the actual service bulletins that Mini had given him on various issues -- most notably, the Harmon/Kardon stereo upgrade. The bulletin came out on August 5, so if you ordered your 2010 before that date, that would explain why your MA may not have been aware of an issue with delayed builds.
Here's the deal: they are having a supply issue with H/K and they don't expect to be able to start building them into the Minis until December. As a result, if your build was scheduled for, say, September, the H/K will be REMOVED FROM YOUR BUILD, the standard stereo will be added instead, and the price adjusted accordingly in order to keep your production slot. If you would rather take a later production date in order to get the H/K upgraded stereo, you need to talk to your MA.
**One caveat -- the way it's phrased in the bulletin is a bit odd, but if I'm interpreting it correctly, what few H/K's they have are getting allocated to the Limited Edition Camden's. That's the only way to get the H/K prior to December. (We can cross our fingers that it may be sooner, but that's what they're anticipating for now.)

Andrew
Just got mine today. Ordered on 7/31, scheduled to build Week 36.
I don't live in the States, so Minis are sold here in a different way. We have 7 different models: Cooper, S, Convertible Cooper, Clubman, Clubman S, Convertible S, JCW.
Each model has different packages (except for the JCW, which comes in a very basic trim).
- Salt
- Pepper
- Chili
- Hot Chili
My S "Chili" car has the Xenon package, bluetooth, iPod, MFSW, dual sunroofs, leather / cloth interior, auto AC. I can add some extra options (like the HiFi stereo), but, for example, I can't chose others (think LSD, which can be had with the Salt model).
Pretty confusing, if you ask me...

What's the parcel shelf?

An interesting system of grouping packages...
Your MCS Chili sounds like a sweet ride!
Enjoy & Motor On!
thanks
Good question..they let us order the car, but they DID not give us pricing yet on the 2010. We were told that traditionally packages go up about $100, and the over all car price may increase about a grand. We are of course hopeful the car will be close to the 2009 prices.
Any one else heard anything different?

^ a grand?! That is way too much. Unless it was a complete redesigned model, there is no reason it should increase by that much. I read that they are adding the MFSW standard, so that might justify an increase of a few hundred.
IMO, Minis are already a tad overpriced. If they were smart they would keep the MSRP the same to keep the car under $22,000. (I think its $21,950 now)

i think they have the white silver to replace pure silver in 2010.
I want to know for sure, too, if white silver will be offered on at least the S. MotoringFile speculated it would be earlier this summer, but has then said that individual style options from the Camden and Mayfair would not be available on anything other than those models, including exterior and interior colour combinations. I hope that's wrong, because I would LOVE a MCS in WS/B!
