Protecting from sun/weather

I just moved from a home with a garage, to an apartment with open-air parking in Florida. I'm having to adjust to leaving my car out in the elements instead of in the safety of a garage. I'm getting tired of my car always being dirty plus everything being exposed to the sun and rain 24/7

I was thinking about the possibility of getting a car cover. It would need to be easy to take on and off when I want to use the car and probably needs to have some sort of lock for theft prevention.

Any options along this line, or any other suggestions? Is a car cover not going to be worth the hassle and should I just plan on washing frequently?

You can also leave both windows a little bit open for the heat to escape and get a sun shield, it will protect your dash, trim and reduce the inside temperature.

For me it is too much work putting on and taking off the cover. And some covers are a little difficult to put on without a little help.

Garage unfortunately is still the best solution.

The cover will get wet and it's a messy drag to throw that in the back wet let along get it off the car. Plus the wet mess sits on the painted car too. I only use covers when I'm in airport outdoor parking for days.

Not sure if you have a sunroof, but if you do, I love my zippee shades and would highly recommend them. I too live in Florida and they keep much of the summer heat out of Roxxy.

This is what I would do:

1) Clear Bra, if you don't have one already (maybe full hood and front bumper protection)

2) 303 the interior frequently, to prevent sun damage to the interior

3) Sunshade for the windshield

4) Zippee Shade for the sunroof or get it tinted

4) Wax frequently after washing

I think a cover is just going to create more attention in an open parking lot. Also, park next to another nice car to prevent dings.
