My club has a 50th Year of the MINI party planned this Friday that the hubby and I are co-hosting.

Also, I have 2 mod days coming up: Aug 1st- All chrome goes Bye-Bye, and August 4th, getting the windows tinted

 

I am jealous already

 

Are your going with Limo tint or something else? Joey Mod or tint over headlights?

 

Doing 30% for tint... PA's a little finicky with tint, so I don't want to go too dark.

And yes, doing tint on the headlights/taillights as well

 

We would enjoy seeing before and after shots of that?

I hear you when you talk about the rules, I went to 5% in the back 3 with a strip of the same across the front as CA depending on the time of the year can get ticket happy. With the FOG we have I didn't really want anything on the front two so that helped also,

 

we are 35% on the back three, 50% on the front two, 5% on the roof.

 

Hubby and I are planning to skip out of work on Tuesday and motor a few hours away to the beach. This will be Roxxy's first road trip. I hope to have a happy story to share next week!

I will certainly take some pics and attempt some form of diary. I'm very much looking forward to getting her out on the open road after 600+ miles of city driving. Gainesville isn't much of a city, but it's still stop and go between the house and work.

 

Happy road trip yesterday to Philadelphia suburbs and back.

Going up, a fellow HzB MCCS joined along side me for a bit and we motored together side by side up I-95 in NE Maryland. Gave each other an enthusiastic thumbs up and he peeled off for the exit. Too cool.

Came back via PA turnpike and down 15. Rough road on the turnpike until Lebanon exit then opened it up on the smoother road. Felt good to break the 4,000 RPM barrier associated with the 1200 mile break-in recommendations. Great trip, decent motoring. Was crunched for time so I had to save the back-roads for another time. But, I even got paid to do the drive by a client. Life is good....getting paid to drive my mini.

 

I just got in from a 300 mile trip today. Average speed of 85 mph and the range still says 270.

 

I just got in from a 49 mile trip....picked up my new MCs at the dealer...49 miles away.

The motoring was definitely happy...even though most of it was behind slow drivers in no passing zones...the times i could get on it were so much fun

Bad Kitty... You forgot to replace your SCCA decal on your MINI! Make sure that you put a new one on... gotta fly the club's colors you know!

11 weeks seems a bit long. I'd question your SA about damage during transit. Especially if others in the same boat, pun intended, have already taken delivery of theirs.

Mini Cooper Mini-Yeah I saw you said your delivery is tomorrow!! I am sure the wait has been hard , but it will be so worth it!! You are going to be very busy installing all those mods you have been buying during your wait!!

ok, it now has 149 miles on it, i put on every MOD that i had purchased and i ran out of light to take pictures. I will post pictures up tomorrow of before and after, as there is a huge difference between the two.

 

That is overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar from the Spanish side. Thats Morocco on the other side (in the first pic). Also check out my new blacked out beltline...

 

I just got my carbon fiber hood, cant wait to install it tomorrow! its gonna be hot in my garage haha
