R56 Perforated Leather Seats?
Perforated Leather Seats?
I went and looked at a 2009 MCS in Chili Red. I really like the car, but something seemed "off" about the interior. I was surprised to see perforated leather seats, and I'm wondering if that's even possible from the factory, or if this is a substantial aftermarket change. They were black leather, or leatherette, hard to tell without the sticker.
The car only has 4,500ish miles on it and the salesman said they're getting "executive" cars or something as they have a couple MCS's on the lot with under 10k.
Just curious if anyone knows anything about this, or has seen it before.
Thanks!

leather seats
The "punch leather" seats in carbon black, a $1500 option. They also come with lumbar support. The punch leather is not as soft as the "lounge leather" ($2000 option). When chosen as an option you don't have to pay an additional $500 for door and dash trim. Therefore, the extra $1500 really amounts to an extra $1000.

I have noticed several dealerships, mostly used car, misrepresenting the leatherette seats as leather.
One quick way to tell if the seats are leatherette is that they are two tone gray/black seats without lumbar support.
The perforated leather is an all black leather seat with lumbar support.
