R56 Y'all have scared me... need your honest opinions
Everyone has an opinion. Here are mine.
Every car I own HAS to have a sunroof or I would not buy it.
Every car has to have leather seats. I hate cloth and hate vinyl even more.
I have a JCW. I would not have been happy with an S. Forget about a Just-a.
There is absolutely no comparison between the xenons and halogens. I had a base cooper with halogens as a loaner for a couple of days. I could not believe how bad they were.
I would have been very disappointed had I gone with the automatic transmission.
Both audio options suck. The HIFI just sucks less.
Rear fog lights are a very inexpensive option. They are cool but not necessary.
The armrest. I had to have it. If the car did not come with one I would have had it put in afterward.
I like loaded up cars. I can afford it. But if I could not I would option for my budget.
The run flat tires are horrible. I swapped mine out for conventional tires. The ride is still harsh (I have the JCW suspension) but more tolerable now.
Bottom line, go take a test drive then decide what YOU like and what YOU need so long as it fits in your budget.
I love my JCW. It brings a smile to my face every time I see the car, whether its in my garage or parked in the street. Especially when I leave work and get in the car to go home.

Thanks for the opinions, i really do take all of them to heart! I was having a tough time picking between white pepper/ black roof and red/white roof, but I think 33ejb is right about having a white top- so I'm definitely going for a white top (still not 100% on the body color... so many to choose from!).
I'm still a bit lost when it comes to the tires... if the 15" all season will improve the smoothness of the ride, then they are probably going to be what I end up getting.
I like the look of the hood on the MCS, but as I said earlier, I'm definitely going to test drive the MC as well.
The more I ready about the auto sensing wipers, the more I don't think they're worth the money. Dumb question... but does the mini have daytime running lights? Or do you have to add the auto headlamps?
