R56 MINI denies warranty due to mods
I was going to return it to stock trim and bring it to Minis of South Atlanta and have them try to fix it.
But they just got rid of their best tech and service writer... ...and now I don't know what to do anymore.
I'd really like to just be rid of the car. The dealers are too far away to be convenient, I don't really fit in it, and it just has left me with a bad taste in my mouth that I don't want.
It's my wife's car now and I'll do whatever she wants with it; but she knows how I feel about it...

It's my understanding (and I might be wrong) that they have to show that the mods create/contribute to the problem you are having in order to deny warranty service. If they can't do that then they are responsible for the warranty work.
You might want to check into the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act to see what recourse you might have.

Still going on or was it fixed? I would have gave them the car back by now. By driving it through there front window. That woudl be great press for them.
I would have bene out front with signs chasing off customers. That gets htere attention because they have to decide is it chepaer to fix your car or loose the customers and sales. When it gets ugly this works. They only thing they car about is sales revenue. If you can impact that they will react.
I protest my MB dealer and he didn't care. MB cared when I showed up at another dealer because mine was closed on Sundays. They called MB and they ordered me a replacement car that week and a year newer to boot. I hesitated buying my Mini for a couple of years because of the BMW/Mini
BS attitiude. I would not got to another dealer to fix the car. If you sold me the car you are going fix it one way or another. Image if someoen get injuried in that car because the air bag did not deploy. I would think the liability to Mini and the dealership would be off the hook. I guees they have insurance to protect them there too.
