Rear wheel light not lit

Last night I while I was waiting to pick up a friend I stepped out of my car and realized something... The red light over my rear driver's side door isn't working.

I'm guessing it's covered under warranty, it's such a small thing. But, can I take my car to any MINI dealer to have my warranty work done, or do I have to take it to the dealer that I bought it from?

Thanks.

Any MINI dealer. Although it may be less of a hassle to just replace the light on your own... don't know how far away your dealer is. We just changed out a bulb last night and it was really easy. Other option would be to wait until you have to go for scheduled service and have it taken care of then.

How exactly does the light come out? Do you take it out from the outside or under the wheel well?

Inside the wheel well. Remove a couple of those plastic pop it things and peel the fender liner back a liitle. Feel right behind the light and you will feel the wire going to the light. Follow that to the socket and twist to remove the socket and light from the lense.

I actually just realized that the light and the lens are the same piece, and that it only costs $13 from MiniMania.com.

What I didn't know until I looked at the light in the daylight a few minutes ago is that the lens is cracked. I'm just going to order the light then.

If someone could tell me how to replace the light I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.
