So I dropped off my car on thursday (1/22) for break fluid (covered maintenance). They called me back saying they needed to also order a part (caliper i think) so it might take another day. No big deal since i am driving a loaner. But now it has been 5 days and i keep leaving voice mails.

Very strange. I want my 6 speed back!

 

Hope it didn't get a case of "lot rash" while it's in there. Check for overspray.

So, why not drop by and pay them a surprise visit. For all you know it's done and been there waiting for you but someone just dropped the ball.........

 

They finally returned my call yesterday afternoon. The part they ordered came in but they had to put on a new sensor as well. (caliper and caliper sensor?).

 

Better yet - I called Mini Road Side Assistance to schedule a pickup for 8:00 the next morning. They were to confirm two hours in advance. When no call came by 7:50 I called Mini and the tow company had cancelled the pickup without notifying me. Mini says they can not call the tow company more than 1 1/2 hours in advance due to the unforeseen at the tow company. The math...... how can they confirm two hours inadvance when they can't call the tow company more than 1/1/2 hours in advance? I asked what if I were stranded on the road and two hours later nobody showed. The response - they would call another tow company. Okay, so when do you realize that the tow has been cancelled and they are not showing up? Do you wait another two hours on a busy highway? Better followup by Mini would be appreciated. Thoughts?
