When configuring a car the standard wheels are the 15 inch 5-Star Spooler wheels. A no charge option is the 15 inch Rotator Spoke wheel. But if you select the 15 inch Rotator Spoke wheels, you can not get "All Season Tires".

Why are All Season Tires are only available with the 15 inch Star Spooler? Why not with the 15 inch Rotator Spoke wheels?

 

Good question but it has been like this since the R56s were released. I tried getting all seasons through the dealer etc. with no luck. Because I liked the Rotators I got them with the performance tires then sold the tires to someone here on NAM and bought all-seasons.

 

Thanks JW for the quick response. You figured out a good workaround. Seems odd that one would have to do that though. My daughters Mini is in production and she didn't care that much so I just went with the star spooler wheels / all season tires.

 

If you don't care about the wheels (I didn't) you'll find the all seasons are a good tire. I have no complaints. Keep them properly inflated and rotated and they'll wear nicely. Mine have 10,000 miles and they still look new.

 

Yes, agree about all season tires. Wanted and got those. Just liked the Rotator Wheels better and when configuring car, could not get All Season with 15 inch Rotator wheels. Just seemed odd and wondered if someone knew why Mini limited the all season tires to only the 15 inch star spooler wheels.
