Trunk side panels

The side access panels on the r53 is pretty usefull for storing stuff (granted if you don't have the H-K stereo). I even managed to stash away a portable air compressor and a pair of work gloves on the other side.

So is the r56 the same story? I did noticed that the one on the driver's side is heavily recessed so I don't think there's any room in there. But the one on the passenger side is flushed. On the models with the hi-fi system, does the amp render the space useless?

The driver's side houses the amp for the HiFi. There are no little covered storage bins in the boot of the R56. What you see is what you get.

I have a small toolbag VELCROed into the indent on the driver's side, and keep a fire extinguisher and an quart of oil stashed behind the removable panel on the passenger side.
