Is this possible?

About a year ago, I used to work at a restaurant in a not-so-glamourous part of town. After a shift one night, I was walking to my car and noticed two small dents on my hood? Why and how did they got there? It's still a mystery. Either way, they weren't noticeable enough to where they NEEDED to be professionally removed, but they still ticked me off quite a bit.
I tried everything except PDR. From Ding-King (don't waste your time or money) to using a hair dryer and a can of dust off (again, unsuccessful)
Over time, I learned to deal with them. I never had the extra cash to get it fixed (any additional money of mine seems to find its way to Alta )
But the point of my story is that, over the past few days it seems that one of the dents have disappeared. It might have been the lighting, but i couldn't locate on of the dents for a couple days now. Is this possible? or is my mind saving me from the pangs of not having a pristine car anymore. Who knows... maybe i'll imagine my rock chips to paint themselves too!

Firebolt....I might have a trick for you. If it's a dent, meaning like someone pushed it in, then here's what you do. Go to Radio Shack and buy "Freeze It" in a can. Spray at the dent, make it as cold as possible then take you hair dryer, blow at it. The point here is to make the metal super cold then shock it with heat. The metal shrink and expansion will happen and it will pop out. Good luck.

What is the success rate of this technique? Any chance it might make the dent worse? I also have a small dent on my driver side rear body panel and would like to fix it myself.

I don't see how it can make it worse. $5 and 15 minutes. Worth a try.
