R56 What else is in your garage???
First off, some of you guys have some absoulte BEAUTIFUL cars. Just a question to all the guys here with Porsches, Lambos, Ferraris etc.
I have yet to have the oppurtunity to drive a full on exotic, so i cant even begin to compare, but How does driving the Mini compare to these cars. Im not talking about full on performance but fun. Are these little suckers really so fun that they would make you leave a car like a lambo or a Porsche in the garage on a nice day?
If so, it makes me love my mini even more. I dream of owning a Porsche one day, but damn if im going to miss my mini with a Porsche in the garage, these cars must really kick *** on a level i never fathomed.

E36 M3, to answer your question, yes. The mini is one of the most fun cars in the world, and as many have said, are as fun to drive as any exotic out there. That is why, in my opinion, a lot of VERY affluent people have Minis in there garage, because they understand that behind a Ferrari or Lamborghini the idea is still the same: to make driving fun. Just my 2 cents.
BTW, I was on ebay the other day, and there was a FULLY loaded JCW R56 with EVERY option for sale. The MSRP was almost $50,000. It was traded at a Lamborghini dealership.

I had a 2002 530i sedan which I sold to get my R56 :D
There was no 'official' E39 M5 Tourings in North America, although BMW did produce a handful of one-off 'prototypes' or development mules, running around here and in Europe. That said, it hasn't stopped some owners from converting their Tourings to M5 specs.
Mine's a '99 540, and it has the factory aero front lip.

1 - more fuel efficient than my other cars
2 - plenty comfy for everday driving
3 - small enough to easily park anywhere
4 - less expensive to fix so if I get a ding its no big deal
I will likely sell my Touareg when the Mini comes in. I used to need the space in the Touareg for selling/delivering computers but have shut that business down now.
If the economy/stock market were to make a phenomenal jump by Dec then maybe I'd keep all the cars but thats highly unlikely.
And Walt is Beautiful! Those rims are slick!
Nice Mazda too.
I don't have a garage but...
My Wife drives a 2004 Toyota Highlander. We just bought it and she loves it. Also in the shed I have my old High School cruiser in hibernation for the moment, a heavily customized 1970 Camaro SS that I bought off a Vo-Tech student who left for the Marines. It runs but its no longer street legal and needs a lot of body work and interior care. But someday it'll stand proud beside my Mini... even if its 4x bigger
Imagine this, but in deep purple/white stripes. Someday I hope to get it to look this nice!
