R56 Today was a BAD day...
Even if the tire holds air pressure, I'd certainly be hesitant to drive aggressively (either speed or curves). It's the weak link in the chain that breaks, and that would certainly be weaker than any other spot on your four tires.
P.S. Don't even think about selling the car with that tire on it, without telling the buyer. The tires are speed rated to 150 mph, so otherwise the buyer would expect them to be sound.

I got my M5 stainless socket head screws at True Value in Bristol, RI.
Sorry, just trying to make the day lighter. Do you ever get up towards NC? If so, bring your car to one of my bodyshops, I'll touch-up, wetsand and buff your chip for free.
Sorry to hear your day was crap. Some days are just like that.... driving your mini on a trip will make you feel better. Trust Me.
I recently had to dispose of a computer. It was in one of my shops and God knows who was surfing where.
After a week of trying to clear up a virus, I had to give up and replace the computer. I'm not an IT but definitely not a virgin on computers.
Hope your day gets better.

PS. I've got 4 runflats on 16" rims with 10K miles on them if you're looking for cheap replacements.
Not to de-rail this thread, but I know exactly what the tang police are. How big's your tank and is it a reef or FOWLR?
If you have runflats and plan on keeping runflats.. GET IT!
Am I the only one who would leave the screw in?
You ever take an inflated balloon, put a piece of scotch tape on it, then poke the balloon with a pin through the tape? The balloon is fine... until you pull the pin out of the tape.
If it's not leaking now, I'd leave it in for fear of the act of taking it out creating a hole that does leak.

Great plan.
In any case, I wasn't clear enough in my suggestion. I don't mean to suggest that he should leave the screw in forever and ever, amen. But if you can't get to the tire shop until tuesday next week, and in the mean time you've got to get to work, buy groceries, etc... I think it'd be best to leave the screw in until you can take it in to get fixed. Just don't go on that cross-country road trip you'd been planning for the past 6 months.
There's probably a very slow leak from the screw already (I had one once that would take about 2 months to deflate the tire), but I think that taking it out in your driveway is not going to improve the situation and would likely make it worse. Treat it like a donut... you can use it for a while to get around town and so on, but it shouldn't go unfixed.
Well worth 249 bucks....

Unfortunately, an option not available for those folks purchasing initially overseas. I don't think I can get this now, considering the car is an '07. I could have REALLY used this option on my '04...but again, I was in Europe, where it's NOT offered.
* Off-track REMINDER * You signed the dotted line, chum! It's the fine print that always gets ya.
The post was about bad days, I offered him condolences and told him it'd get better, we All have bad days, off topic whatever SIR
