R56 When the MA forgets a factory option?
Wow that sounds like a dealer that doesn't know what's going on. If there is another dealer in your area I would go talk to them and see if they can work you in faster. I wouldn't want to deal with that dealership if I were you.
It was super easy when I put my order in. They went over every option I wanted, double c hecked it was on the order in the computer and then printed out and I had to sign it to verify this is what I wanted. I walked out with it easy, no problems.
Yeah the OL is sorta iffy but if you call they should be able to tell you what you exact order is. Should I say

The way the order process works is this:
-The dealer has so many cars alloted to them each month.
-They put in orders for those alloted cars configured the way they chose.
-A buyer comes in and places an order.
-The dealer switches "your" order with one of the cars they have already pre-ordered (configured). This is why initially your order doesn't appear to be correct. It is still configured for a few days the way the dealer initially ordered it.
-After a few days to a week or so or at least when the car is in production your configured spec shows up in the MINI USA site the way the dealer configured your order.
I had no problem looking at my configured order at MINI USA and my dealer had access to that info also. Your MA not getting to see that site I find odd.
I ran into the same issue. Went in to the dealer to take delivery of the '08, turns out it was missing an option and the dealer couldn't install it.
After waiting months, it was a total letdown.
Our MA ended up reordering it with a slot that was accounted for and a few days away from production. So it's now a '09 build with DSC standard - for the '08 price we agreed on (which was also negotiated a bit below MSRP).
It seemed like fair compensation to me.

He wasn't happy with the 500 bucks he spent for the upgraded stereo from the factory so he may as well get it done the way he wants.

If you end up getting a car from there without
a discount/apology give them zeros on the
BMW survery but make sure you never go get
service from there (hopefully there is another one
as close to you)

3's would be bad enough to cause some serious damage to them.
I agree with this. This dealer does not sound too swift. If you can possibly go to another dealer I would try to do that.

I think I'm caught by the "The dealer switches "your" order" step... they appear to have only a couple JCW's per month... Sept. has only 1 slot... he did show me their system on his screen. There are 6 people in line waiting for a slot. Of course, I sorta think I was first in line, and since they fouled this up, they should put me back at the head of the line. Yes, those folks would be delayed a month, but I'm delayed two months, so it seems a little fair... sorta... if it were all about me!

But anyway, seriously, some of the actual ordered options that appear on the sticker and made it into the car, never showed up on the MINI USA OL site. So I don't think I would rely on OL to confirm how the car will be built.
So the phone call to the regional guy wasn't made, or at least the substitute MA never called me today as promised. I left him a nice message, asking about that phone call. BTW, his card titles him as the GM Sales. Wouldn't a normal GM be crazy to help customers? These guys must be selling drugs on the side to treat customers like they don't need the business. Good grief.
