+5 for Carbotech Bobcats

Called up Carbotech a couple of weeks ago and ordered a set of the new version Bobcats for my R56. (They gave me a 10% discount through the vette forum.) This is my 61st car/truck/motorcycle, and I've used about every brand of brake pad out there (EBC, Hawks, Axxis, Mintex, etc. etc.) I was sick and tired of having to clean my flame spoked every two days and had heard good things about these.
I have to say, unequivocally, that these are the best pads I've ever used. I had about 1900 miles on the car, so the rotors were pretty new, so I just slapped them in and bedded them. They are very smooth, even on the JCW rotors, and quiet. The bite and stopping power are most excellente. But the absolute best thing is that they are SOOOO much cleaner than the stock pads. I put almost 1,000 miles on them last week, including running in the rain, and the wheels still didn't look 1/4 as dirty as the stock pads after 2 days in the dry.
I didn't see many posts reviewing these, so thought I would add here and in the product reviews.
If there is anyone debating whether these are worth the money to quit having to constantly have black wheels, quit thinking about them and order.
You won't regret it.

Yea they are about the best pads on the market, unfortunately they run close to twice the price of Hawk Ceramics, which are only a step below.

Thanks for the write up. I'm in the market for new pads and have been debating between HP+ and Carbotech....

+1 for the Carbotech Bobcat 1521. Very little dust, no noise, good braking.

Supposedly, they are easier on rotors than other pads, so that might offset the cost somewhat.

Downside is that they probably void the warranty for replacing pads and rotors within the service period.

The MCS R56 2007~2008 is not listed on the Carbotech site. What Bobcat 1521 part numbers did they send you for the R56 Front/Rear pads? (See http://www.ctbrakes.com/pads/mini.htm)
