prior to the '09s, wasn't the sports suspension included in the sports package, cause its not anymore?

No, the sport suspension was a $500 option.

Does anybody know what they do with the Bluetooth setup if you don't get the armrest? Or do you not get bluetooth without the armrest? I can't remember.

I don't really see how a 2008 build will be worth the same as a 2009 build later down the road. Get four years out or so, have the same mileage and see which car is worth more. I know I'd pay a bit more for a newer model year.

I was frankly waiting for the 2009 pricing because I won't order for another month or so, I'm glad it's not a major increase.

I mean if you wanted a specific package or color and they dropped it, or made you buy extras to get the same package that would bite, but I'm looking at a lightly optioned base car so little effect on me.

I think there are still glitches in the page

In my case I reconfigured my car and it came out $500 more, print out the sheet and the "Standard" DSC is listed as a $500 option

In any event, $500 on a $20k+ car is not really that significant, it seems like especially given the exchange rates they are trying to hold the line on prices.

Looks like the price went up $900 vs. what my '07 cost, which is pretty significant because a similarly specced '08 would have actually cost less.

$750 of that was for the (formerly free) white Bridgespokes. Egads! I guess they're phasing out the white wheels.

mine went up $250 over the previous 08 build. big freaking deal. I can live with this. An 09 in 08 will hold its value better in the short term. Did so when my 05 came out in 04.

and one thing about the configuator: add up yr numbers manually on a calculator. it has a nasty habit of not adding up correctly on its own, esp. if you decide to add/subtract packages or options.

Precisely correct. An 04 with the same options and mileage as my 05 right now commands about $1-2,000 less on trade-in and resale value across the board, depending on the market.

I'm suspecting that's an error, its not unknown for it to get things like that wrong. We got a colour line thrown in with our seats, it shows other colour lines as $250 options, and also different dash options as extra when both of them are actually included. Actually if I click on those options, the say "incl", but the white wheel option doesn't (it still says $750).

The configurator only says the white bridgespokes are extra for the MCS, for the MC, the white and the silver are both $750 options, as MCs only get 15" wheels for free.

I can't see how Tristan would have changed in price as they won't let you have the sport package yet. Shawn's price would have gone up $250 ($750 base increase, DSC included), but I could have got rain sensing wipers and keyless comfort access for just $250 more. The changes to the convenience package means it no longer has the stuff I don't want (MFSW and arm rest), but we already got several of the bits in the package. Though we decided against rain sensing wipers because replacement windscreens are even more extorionatly priced than regular ones and I'm not too sure I like the keyless access (you get the ugly little square buttons on the handle, and you keep having to press them).

I thought it was included in the MC's sport package, but not the MCS's sport package. Though I can't say for sure I didn't go for the MCS sport package.

I finally found out how much the Sport Package is for the 09. If you can't see the price click on the link below. This is what came up in my saved configurations when I looked at my mini again.

Darn it I thought I set it to go to the gallery. Put your cursor on the image and the image enlarger will show up in the bottom right hand corner, click on it. I laughed when I saw the price....$10,000

build yr MINI on MINI usa, not carsdirectdotcom. They are incorrect. DSC is now standard on the S. No sports pak until december.

figured out why mine was only $250 more than the 08, no factory alarm option. It's at the end in step 6, $225. also some have noted in other threads that white 16" Bridgespokes cost $750 extra. The one I built they (silver) were n/c.

gonna be bugs with this thing for awhile here. tally up yr totals manually. it's also not saving changes, yet.

and what amazes me is that the price of xenon HLs has not changed since I ordered Rodney back in June 04 even tho they are now BI-xenons.... I think they may have come down.

I thought they added the Sport Suspension to both Sport Packages (to make it a bit more, well, sporty) last year. In '07 you had to get it separate, or in the Hyper-Sport package (with the hideous factory aero-kit).

And I see the premium package is now back to its '07 incarnation (Hi-Def Stereo out, MFSW in). I wonder if too many people were just ordering the MFSW separately and passing on the package.

Frankly, I'm surprised the price has not gone up more for 2009s, since they're essentially selling them as quickly as they can make them. If the demand continues to remain high, I expect to see the prices go up, but it will be directed by the dealers, not the factory.
