My wife has only been in the car once. She absolutely hates it. It's probably because I'm so picky about my cars. That, and the fact that it's been at the dealer more times than all of our other cars combined.
I find that if she has a good supply of trashy romance novels, she really doesn't notice. Last time she finished her book "prematurely", I was following 3 other cars at 105mph on I-95 outside of Savannah. She didn't realize we had been cruisin in that pack for about 30 miles.
I love driving in all makes and models of vehicles. Whether it is in our Tahoes, Expeditions, Jeep Wrangler Rubicons, Hummers, and Chargers (I work for the government ), as long as I'm driving I'm happy.
The MINI, I'm sure, will allow me to drive just a little more "spirited." Hopefully it is a bit more fun the muddy river driving in a Hummer?
My husband actually tells me to drive faster
However when he's driving his Mustang, I tell him to slow down
That mustang gets me horribly carsick, so it's slow down, or throw up.
I am hoping to find a man who loves and drives as fast as i do
If that's the case, may I suggest you join your local BMW CCA. Plenty of automobile enthusiasts can be found there. Most clubs put on a yearly driving school. In LA, we have at least two a year (Willow Springs Intl Raceway and California Motor Speedway) where the Mini crowd is ALWAYS welcomed!
On a recent run with DCMM, my friend was motoring behind me and told me shortly thereafter that he new that my wife was screaming when he saw me apply the brakes on my 2007 MCS when we went over hills and around turns....
