Nice photos. I like the "Fun Ends" sign. What exactly does it mean? Does the Arizona government really have a sense of humor?

I like how you were able to balance the lighting of the car interior and also have detail in the outside landscape. Very nice. The road sign is hilarious also!

Where did you get that Nurburgring decal? I love it and would like to get one.

I did 44 laps for BMW on the Ring in 2004, test riding the K1200S...

Once in a lifetime experience. It is an incredible racetrack. Challenges everything you know and teaches you more.

I am #159 in the photo.

Wow. You've only had it 6 days and you've already had it on the Nurburgriing? You move fast!

Hope you enjoy your new car. I've got one on order that's almost identical in looks (I got the bonnet stripes and chrome mirror caps). I'll drool over you pics until mine gets here in a couple weeks!

BTW, I was in Germany a couple months ago with a friend who was doing a European delivery of his new BMW 335i. We spent a day at the Nurburgring watching the exotic cars and taking his car for a few laps. What an amazing experience! If there is a heaven for dead cars, it must surely be somewhere near Nurburg.

Thanks for the info! I ordered a set of gold ones. I hope to find white or silver later.

Enjoy the Ring. It was incredible, undoubtedly one of the most challenging things I have ever done. I won a contest where 12,000 riders applied and made it through 3 testing stages. 4 Riders from the USA were chosen amongst 30 total for the world.

I've heard some go so far to say, as that the stickers only belong on vehicles that have actually been on the specific track.

The K1200S Motorcycle was loaned to me from BMW for the Ring testing, so that would mean I have nothing to put it on...

Oh well, I'll wait and see what I do with the sticker when I get it. It's gold, so I probably won't put it on any vehicle, even though I have done a good number of laps on the Ring.

Anyhoo, does that mean if you put an anaheim ducks decal on your window that you must to have played on that professional team? Heheh.

Heheh. I understand the purity aspect, but if someone likes something, and wants to pay tribute, I say just let them be. Why take the fun out of someone else's party.

Not like they are putting a ///M Badge on the back of a 318ti Hatch or something...Now that, is something that confuses me...

how was your dealership experience with NorthScottsdale Mini? I'm thinking of getting one some time in the near future.

I've priced out a mini similar to yours, no need to go for upgraded rims. A pair of BBSs or SSRs weigh less and would look just as nice and cost less then some of the optional rims.

It was pretty good, cant complain

The S-winders are the lightest wheels you can get so if you plan on tracking your car, theyre a good set to start with!

Yikes. I inadvertently hijacked the thread. Sorry to get off topic with the Nurburgring. Obviously I am obsessed. These are the last pics I will post here, hopefully someone is interested. If not, I do apologize.

The start:

The bikes, K1200S, was BMW's most powerful production motorcycle at the time.

Ownd, I like your pictures. If I might suggest something, the lighting is a little harsh -- it's so bright some of the pics look a little blasted. I always have my best results in the "golden hour" right before sunrise or after sunset. It's super-flattering for cars. (People and other stuff, too...)

I like your car, too! It's like mine:

Edit: I'm also a 'Ring fan. I drove it last summer in a rented BMW. I wrote about that experience over here in this thread.

Mach V,

Excellent tips on the ideal lighting. Sometimes I even like a cloudy day, acts as a perfect diffuser, giving a broad spread of even lighting.

Love your Mini, Dark Silver, right?
