Hi Everyone!

I just brought my baby home last night, and I know I want to add boot stripes to echo the bonnet stripes.

What I was hoping you could all help me with is, how did people handle the "CooperS" on the boot? Was it easy to remove and reattach? I had thought it was one piece, but since they are individual letters, it appears it will be more difficult to install on my own.

Better to have it done professionally? Or easily done with some care?

There are several threads on this-- in fact, a really great one with pictures that shows step by step on a cabrio. You'll put tape over the front, mark where it was, then use fishing line/dental floss to pull it all off. If you order stripes from a company like Aesthetic Creations, they'll include a new decal with your stripes.

I did driver's side stripes only, so I didn't have to deal with the decal!

I have a conference call I'm supposed to be paying attention to or I'd go find the thread-- I think it is in the exterior/interior mods forum.

I did try searching a couple of different things, but couldn't find anything. Now I can refine my search

 

I added boot stripes (check out my gallery). As Caulyne noted, Aesthetic Creations DOES include the replacement decal. My dealer installed the stripes and applied the replacement decal while I was there, so I could tell them exactly where. I like Caulyne's tips on exact placement. Good idea.
