R56 SAY WHAT?!?! Blank buttons?
There is no LSD button. That's essentially the same as having a front axle on/off button... It is impossible to turn it on or off, you simply have it or you don't. On mine, which doesn't have DSC, I have a traction control on/off button where your DSC button is.

To help pick a color, go to the Mini dealer and spend some time walking around the lot. You'll decide what color you like most.
Pictures aren't good enough for some colors.
Sparkling Silver was fugly on the Mini configurator.
When I saw it in person, I knew it was my color, since dirt and dust are hidden.
No one has built an UGLY Mini, that I've seen.
(After market changes are another story.)

Limited Slip Differential... helps eliminate inner wheel spin when accelerating out of corners (on track or street). It works mechanically, no electronics.

Loved a lot of autos, but never more that this MINI, so I will have to consider dreaming a name for--- (Watercraft are always 'she' Airplanes appreciate a gentle touch even more than a ship, so 'her' would apply as well)
~~ is 'it' best used for a fine automobile?
It was the control and handling that attracted me to the MINI, never the looks, but now that is growing on me as well.

Thanks for letting my JustaCooper a$$ know I don't know much about S's.

MiniBella's Nightfire Red looks a whole lot better on those photos posted here than it does on MINI USA.com's configurator site.
Our Olds 98 was that color for first ten years, dumbest idea I ever had was to change it to grey.
My favorite '67 NintyEight Convertible color WAS Yellow (like the 'Liquid Yellow' on R53) but I feared a clash with a 'wine' interior on mine.

LSD for Racing? Ok, they used to just weld solid axel, rough on tires and great out of corners, but that was considered cheating?//
Would Traction Control do as well as LSD if you were parked on a hill with one drive wheel on ice?
LSD is an advantage with uneven traction.
The BMW convertible I traded in for the CooperClubmanS had LSD. If you live in the south, you won't notice a lack of LSD, unless you spend your time driving on deep, muddy roads.
JustaCooper...I'm learning new words today.

Good to know I'm not the only one learning things today!
The color thing was difficult for me as well but once I saw the BRGreen I was sold. I also liked the darker blue and the ABlack but green it was. Since it's British I figured I needed a British name so I think it's going to be Nigel. For my fav bass player and 'these go to 11' Nigel Tufnel
That's all I've got so far but as usual I could change my mind!
Congrats on your mini! I'm getting a 'justacooper' myself.

The OEM driving light switch location isn't in the toggle bank, it's on the color line to the left of the steering wheel.
The only toggle I don't have is the center one on the top toggle bank (which is brilliant place for toggles by the way) because I have no (and really want no) sunroof. On the first gen MINI DSC was a toggle in the toggle bank, but on the 2nd gen car it is relegated to one of the push buttons by the shifter. One of those buttons (the middle one) is always blank anyway so having one more blank is no big deal, especially as the DSC button is virtually hidden by the shifter. btw, I thought the middle button was to engage/disengage the auto-start feature on Euro MINIs.
Huh i will not be getting the sunroof or the driving lamps. So i guess i will have two blank toggles. Maybe i will put the gag stickers on and see how many times people will push them.
Ok so does anybody have a mini with no sunroof, dsc, lsd, and HAS the cold weather pkg??? So i can get and idea of how many blank togles/buttons i will have. (and has fog lights front/rear)
