You need to have both the usb plug, and the minijack plug plugged into the car for the ipod to play. usb is only for interface. minijack still carries the audio.
for some reason this never got anywhere, but there is no interface.... the mini jack doesn't do anything cause the whole radio lists.... ERROR, and nothing works jack or no jack.
