Ordered my MCS this week in Laser Blue with white top and stripes,and now am thinking that it would look better in a silver top and stipes, but could not find it on the web site. Has anyone painted their roof, or would the rubber seals around it be too much of a problem...Any pics? Thanks!!

 

Yes, folks do this...although some use vinyl to they can more easily revert b ack to the original color. Silver is pretty classic, though, so if you wanted to paint I think it would stand the test of time. You shouldn't have any trouble at all, save the cost.

 

Sounds like you have a sunroof. The guys at Alta had the roof of one of their cars painted. See this post. They estimated the job would cost $1000. They took the sunroof out as that is the way to do it right, they say. I imagine the price would vary somewhat from place to place.

Vinyl is a less expensive way to go. You can also use perferated vinyl graphics on the sunroof.

I'm pretty darn sure my local dealer had a laser blue ms (or mcs - not which), 07/08 with a silver roof about a month ago. It looked ok but not as nice as I would have thought from the "idea of it". The white was a sharper look, IMO.

 

If you just ordered, then you might be able to change it before it goes into production...

 

Excellent! this is the way I'll go if I want to add hood stripes, etc. I ordered one of the "actual size" decals - that's just too cool.
