My SWMBO is looking to order her 2008 MCS by the end of this month. I own a Charger, (and yes I know that this is completely unrelated but it put the thought in my head) and I read that they are no longer accepting orders for a specific option package for 2008 MY Chargers on my respective charger forum.

That made me start thinking about when SWMBO would have to place the order. I'm gonna give a local MINI dealership a call tomorrow but I wanted to see if anyone here happened to know off hand.

 

The MY08 MINI's are built through August, so as long as your order reaches the factory floor by week 3 of August you'll get an '08. Coordinate with your Motoring Advisor if you really want to cut it that close. If I was ordering a "late '08", I'd ensure my order got sent to the factory in early August, which means I'd take delivery in early September, just as the first of the '09's are rolling onto the slow boat.
