This type of thing is common with "stunt" sport bike riders. After they drop their motorcycle doing wheelies and what-not, the plastic fairings get very scratched up. They cover them in fur, not real fur though.

Not sure why there are people thinking that animal rights groups would be worked up... we do EAT cows. Not like the cow was tortured or anything.

True. Cattle aren't killed for their leather - cowhide is simply a by-product of the meat industry.


That being said, there's a lot of crossover between the animal-rights crowd and the vegan/vegetarian crowd, so I imagine that many of the animal-rights folks are also anti-leather, just on general principle.

I don't know which end, but whoever did it (notice I'm not using a particular pronoun as I wouldn't want to eliminate the possibility of either gender being responsible - very PC of me, wouldn't you say), anyway, whoever did it is certainly way out at one end or the other of the Bell Curve!
