I got free carpet or rubber floor mats (i chose carpet, but am now thinking i'd like rubber better) and yes, of course, gas. Supposedly my MA is sending me a tshirt in the mail (that i requested, along w/ my mats) but i haven't seen it yet.

Mats, tank o' gas, cubby holder/mat thingy, "Let's Motor" plate holder. My car had to go straight to body shop for a scratch on the driver's side door. For the inconvenience they gave me free MINI plug-in travel cooler. Got $800.00 off the MSRP too.

It's interesting that your dealer "sold" you the Mini at a huge loss... Can I get the dealer's number (and an electronic copy of your "deal" as proof of your "good fortune")? I have some property in New Orleans that I'd like to offer both of you...

I got rubber floor mats, iPod adapter and install, and a tank of gas when I bought my R53 and paid MSRP.

I'm supposed to be getting rubber floor mats, the glovebox organizer, and (I would imagine) a tank of gas when I pick up my R56S at MSRP. They were ready to throw in the sport stripes + install as well, but I decided to go for for the factory bonnet stripes so I passed on it.

Wouldn't mind getting a a t-shirt/hat/keychain or something else as well, but I'm also in the camp of preferring a decent trade in value (something in the neighborhood of black book trade in would be fine) to other swag. So much for MINI's "spectacular" residual value Oh well...

Dang, wish I'd have gotten a T-shirt

The only thing I specifically asked for were the floor mats. My MA kept putting more and more stuff into my "goodie bag" as we were talking about the car.

Front and rear rubber floor mats, (ordered the invisihield for the top/bottom front end) they went ahead and did the rear view mirror caps, area around the gas cap, door sills, and the top of the rear bumper for free, got the hard boot box for the price of the collapsible one(their mistake on ordering so they gave me the discount), keychain, and cap.

How does one go about getting free mats? Just ask when you take delivery?

We got a tank of regular gas, nice of them considering one can't drive away on empty, and a handshake.

Mats and a full tank of gas. We'll see if there's a jack and lug wrench in the back.

And I'm getting "It's on back order" on the roof rack -- what, back ordered since Feb. 18 when I ordered the car, with a roof rack?

Pulling together checklists, and making up programming sheets so I can go through options and set things the way I think I want them, at least to start!

I got a tank of gas.

The little tickles are the things that keep coming in the mail/email after you've taken possession. I get a sense of genuine care.

I assume you got your MINI from the same dealer as I, NWMINI. I got one thank-you email after I picked up MINI and that's it. My MA didn't even send me the pic he took of me and my MINI. Plus I have to wait another 8 weeks for the floormats I originally ordered, that's on top of the 6 weeks I waited for my MINI.

My dealership isn't known for freebies at purchase. My tank was full and I got a really high-value car out of the deal, so I was happy. Their service department and other dealer amenities have been worth far more.
