One more clear Bra question, with chrome mirror caps, should I bother

having them done? Are they real metal or just plastic made to look like metal?

Thinking they may not look so good with the clear 3m on it since unlike paint I think it will effect the reflective quality, correct?

I did not clear bra the chrome mirror caps for reasons you specified.
Matter of fact, the caps are so simple to replace, I haven't put clear bra on any of them I have.
