Does anyone know how to remove the tach and the area uner the steering wheel? I am going to install my Mini mount for the Garmin and it says I need to take off those pieces...

Hi Jeff, Here's my original post about the Kuda mount and the INVALUABLE response from Unixgal -- I'm still worried about doing it myself, but will give it a try ... let me know how yours goes
I got the Kuda mount with the trim ring set up for my Nuvi 650. Can
anyone tell me how to install this-in very clear, basic layman terms,
"first grade level" instructions-I'll be doing it myself & am terrified of
doing it too. I see the pictures but they aren't much
more clear than mud to me. I'm sure I can do it, but can you guive me step
by step and what you use and pictures too? I'd sure appreciate it
very much and so would Cricket. My husband isn't in to helping me on this
one. .........so it's all on me. I secretly think he's a bit
jealous of my new toy

The included directions are inadequate for newbies like myself.

Installing the mount would have been impossible for me if not for

I'm planning to install the mini GPS mount as well and I have been searching for the same info. It's not exactly what you want, but if you look at the pdf in this post it tells you how to remove the lower dash cover.

Then I think you can remove the upper and lower covers on the steering column and then the tach.

The official instructions are not very clear on the wiring so it would be great if you could post how you hooked it up and any other suggestions.

Did you buy the mini GPS mount from the dealer or did you get a better price somewhere else?

Edit: I actually got the whole set-up off eBay for $215.00! I am pretty psyched!

 

I cant seem to get the lower shrowd under the dash off! Got the mount onto the tach no problem, this is though!
