New MINI prep kit ideas???

Hope the title made sense , but I just ordered my new Mini and have been thinking.

Reading thru tons of threads I've heard of various things folks dislike about there
R56's. (Such as windshield wipers, brake dust , etc

Since I've got a month or so til I'll need to fly up to get my Mini , I thought it would
be a good idea to come up with a "new owners survival kit".

Basically , a list of items to take with you to the dealership for your ride home.
(Especially if it's going to be a long drive <g>).

Also, things that it would be nice to have already on hand when your new car gets
home.

Here's a couple of items... any other thoughts?

Silicon wiper blades: Brand and size recommendations welcome
Wax for wheels: (What type? Brake dust sucks on white wheels <g>)

I'm sure there are tons of other items... Any input appreciated <g>.

Order your Coco mats early! It takes at least three weeks for them to be delivered.

If you have USB then you will need tunes, I'm ordering a nice big flash drive (never went in for ipods).

Microfiber dust cloths, that dash can get dusty.

A case for you sunglasses, there isn't a spot for them (at least none I've found) as in some other cars.

Good tunes. Take a ipod or MP3 player and adaptor. Since you have a long drive you will want so good music.

Yeah, I agree with tunes plus also maybe a patch kit or something. Not sure if you're going thru any rural roads where u might not get a cell signal so I'd definitely bring a patchkit of some sort and a portable air compressor just in case. I know you can still run on the runflats when they're deflated, but depending on how far u are from the nearest town, you'd prob want some backup just in case.

As for when it comes home... The sky's the limit!! Cocomats, stubby antennas, rubby cubby holder, glove box organizer, new springs, new CAI....Really..you'd go broke asking that kinda question here.

I bought my car a couple states away from me. I brought a DynaPlug kit, and then dropped by a store to pick up a portable compressor and some pliers. It was May and buggy so I ended up buying glass cleaner and paper towels to get rid of the bugs from the windshield. Other than some tunes for the road and money for fuel and food you are all set.
You can get the other stuff like wheel wax later. On the board you will hear all the whining and complaining, but things like the wipers are just fine from the factory. After you get home you can add all the fun stuff. Check out all the stuff at gominigo.com. I have the license plate bracket, glove box tidy, and not yet installed brake light flasher. Have fun!

My MINI is on Order as well. I've heard that PIAA Wiperblades are the ones to get. I've already got tons of detail products from my other vehicles so I'm set there. MINI is coming by way of Local Dealer...Lucky Me!!
