Center armrest missing trim?

i have the oem center armrest on my mini, and noticed there is a grove on the bottom side or the armrest when i tilt it back. it looks like there is supposed to be a filler piece there. does anyone know if there is supposed to be one there and i am missing it, or if it isnt supposed to have anything at all? TIA!

I don't tilt it back much (ok, ever), so I'll have to look when I go home today.

If I'm picturing it right, I think you're referring to the space used for the Bluetooth wiring. If you have BT and the armrest, the armrest can be used to cradle the phone for charging and connection to the car's exterior antenna. The wiring will run up one of those "channels." As far as I know, there are no trim pieces to install in absence of the wiring.

that could definately be it. looked like a grove with clips so thats why i thought it was missing a trim piece. but a wire could definately fit there and since i dont have the blue tooth, it makes sense. thanks!
