Drove my MINI today; no problems as expected.

How many people drove their Mini today and had no problems what so ever?

See, now this is the kinda thread we need!!! Scaring off potential buyers with all our stories of CEL's, engines that won't start, unaligned suspensions...

Unfortunately I can't add to this myself. I'm on vacation in Brazil right now and sorely missing my MINI.

I drove my car and had a minor problem. I had to walk from the car to the door of the grocery store and it was raining.

Otherwise, fine. I did notice that the auto windshield wipers stayed on after then engine was shut off. The stopped, as did the audio, when I locked the door from outside.

Romi is a rock! She just gets out there and does her thing. I had to do some serious zipping through traffic today as some mental midget in a Hummer could not get his big fat **** through the gaping whole left by traffic for him to get through.

He hesitated then stopped, I was coming up behind him at about 40MPH. I did not even touch the brake pedal. Just zipped right around him and through the hole. Looked up in the rear view mirror at his gaping pie hole while he bangs his head against the steering wheel.

I had fun! After 6,000+ miles she is showing all the signs of being in it for the long haul.

Good day ...

I drove it, my wife drove it and I let my friend drive it ... no problems ... in fact ... I've had it now for 15 days ... have driven it every day ... have over 1100 miles and .. NO PROBLEMS ... it's the most fun to drive car I ever owned ... and that list includes MGB/GT, 260Z, 300ZX, Firebird/Trans AM, 68 Jeep and on and on and on ...

If/when I DO have a problem ... I will try REALLY HARD to remember all of the GOOD days ... cause I'm pretty sure they are gonna outnumber the bad ones ...

Well... you could probably try avoiding shifting past 2nd gear...

Mine does this as well, totally normal. Auto-wipers keep functioning when the MINI is in its effective "accessory" mode.

+1 Have had the loaner since Monday and no problems here either, and no problems with the one in the shop (just needs an aesthetic repair).

I've been driving MCS for 9 days and my only problem is that I have trouble sleeping at night because I'm too excited to drive the next day!

My MINI is rock solid, too, and fantastic to motor in. I honestly get a big kick out of driving it each and every time. If I'm going to spend money on a car, I'm glad it is a car that gives me such outrageous satisfaction. This is my second MINI...the first was an R50. Moving to an R53 Cooper I'm glad to say, motoring in one each day, that I'm totally impressed.

It's been a little over two months for me and I still feel that way! I don't anticipate that feeling going away any time soon.

We had a nice drive today and all was well.

I had to take the freeway home from the dealership. The only problem i had experienced at that moment was that McGuyver crazy thoughts on how i was going to do the break-in miles, over-night, in the parking lot, with some jack stands, and then i wanted to cry because it was one of the happiest moments of my young life MY FIRST NEW CAR and it was A MINNI COOPER S. Life is good.:thum bsup::thum bsup:

Alsatia got her first fuel fill today. She also played in the rain for the first time. Her and I are getting along fine and I'm happy to report at 300 miles we are both doing just fine. It took a while to sync up as she drives very different then my previous car. We're getting there though.

BTW, you can get the radio/wipers/etc. to go off by doing the following:
turn off the car (hit start/stop button)
put it in park/gear and use the emergency/parking break
take your foot _off_ the break
hit the start/stop again

This will turn the car completely off. Just remember to take your foot off the break or the car will start again.

happy motoring

Stanley Tucci has 1200 miles today. Had him since last Saturday. Not sure if I can make the 300 more needed for breakin tomorrow, but I am going to try. Dying to get above 4500 rpm.

Also, no problems.
