R56 Spousal Color Battle
If you have to go with the silver, IMO, the DS is a nicer color than the SS. So, one vote for DS and redwood lounge leather interior.
I have to say, I'm starting to lean toward Pure Silver with the black lounge leather, goofy piping and all. I think it looks sportiest.
I'm also considering dark silver/redwood lounge, but I'm a little concerned over how the reddish leather would hold up looks-wise over the long haul... black is much safer.

For me the piping was actually a big selling point. Matches perfectly with my cream color line and quite well with my exterior color. Also it really stand out against the dark leather, something I like a lot. That said, the dark leather can actually be quite high maintenance as well, so keep that in mind. Black tends to show every scuff mark and the cream piping does get dirty if you don't care for it. I think the two colors would hold up about the same.
I was originally leaning towards the redwood red seats (knew I wanted lounge leather). However, after seeing it in person, it's just not for me. If it was a true red I'd be all over it. But that basketball orange just was not doing it for me. With the right exterior I'm sure it would look great though.

I ended up with black cloth and really wish I had redwood leather.
Me on both counts, really...though of course all our money is "ours."
She claims it's really for me that she wants me to get the silver, since it will hide the distressing little inevitable nicks, chips and scratches better over the long haul. She's right in that regard, but I still like blue better.

- spoken from a female. If my husband was paying AND driving? Ummm, yeah, he could get purple polka dots if he wanted.
Well done!
You can always join your Mini in the garage, at least you won't be totally alone at night!(Shoulda ordered the DS!)
PS: I couldn't imagine my wife caring what color I ordered for my own ride! We've talked about ordering a "just a Mini" for her. Her only stipulations were automatic, PW/B, and of course, convertible. I will have my 07MCS paid off by June and will think about ordering an 09 convertible as soon as the R56 style comes out in the vert. What is that model? R57?

The same thing happen last night between the fiance and me. She wanted the Nightfire Red in stock, I wanted the Oxygen Blue coming in. Mostly due to the options it had. We both settled on a Chili Red coming in cause you can't go wrong with that color plus I mostly didn't want to buy a car that had been test driven a whole lot. That's why we went exnay on the NFR.
Plaz, CONGRATS!!!!!!
I use to ride motorcycles and my wife had nothing to do with them. So when it came time to get my MCS I wanted a red she didn't. She liked the hyper blue and silver. So I gave in. If little things like that make her happy it will probably be better for me in the long run.
Get what you want to get. You'll be driving and modding it. Took my wife with me to pick out a new one and ordered a sparkling silver with redwood lounge interior. Really cute car, everyone thought it was really classy. Really wasn't what I, (say I), wanted.
Mini of Nashville gave me a great deal on a trade, so I could get a Mellow Yellow, and I've had a blast taking out the back seats, changing the wheels, and making it mine. Get what you want the first time!
