I just bought an '07 MCS with the agitronic (automatic) transmission. When I stop at a light it shifts to M2 (2nd gear) not M1. My prior car, a Mazda RX8 automatically went into 1st gear after coming to a complete stop. Should I down **** to 1st gear or start off in 2nd gear? Not sure what the impact of this is. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.

 

Normal, unless you shift it down to m1. When in automatic, the default is m2 on downshifts, when in auto-manaul default is m2 for the resting and starting gear.
