Quick Anthracite Headliner Question

Does anyone know: Is the MINI Anthracite Headliner the same color look as the AH in BMWs? For example, the 3-series of the past several years? I have a 3-series I can look at for comparison.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

To me it looks the same as the black carpet found in the boot on the MINI. If you find a BMW with the same carpeted parts that should be the same.

The BMW headliners are a more smooth texture where the MINI's are more individual fibers (more texture).

What ever it is called - if you are even "slightly" thinking about it DO IT - even if this is the first time you have heard of it - DO IT = I believe it is just that nice - esp compared to the standard gray -

It is a slightly fibrous material, and DEFINITELY WORTH IT if you are remotely thinking about it (it'll be difficult to do after the fact, especially since it changes the plastics for the controls, pillars, everything above the waist line to the color!)

Good point, most don't really that the option gets you much more than just the headliner.

I never really thought about it until I was walking around the lot and set in several cars with the standard then set in one with the Anthracite - Wow - no brainer...

The anthracite head liner looks black to me and looks sharp. Highly recommended.

I say do it as well. Like many have said, it requires a lot of parts to replace if you decide you want it later on. Too bad they made that option for the 04 builds...

Anyone have any idea how much all the individual parts cost (aside from the headliner itself, Alcantara if i do this)

Thanks for the posts!

Thank you all. Your comments (and pic) have been very helpful. A friend has an M3 w/ AH and it sounds the same for comparison.
