I didn't intend to bump this thread, but since it's back on the front page...

My 2007 MY/B MCS had an interior light out when I picked it up. I scheduled a fix at the dealership for two weeks later, so I drove my car into work for two weeks before taking over an 06 BRG/W MCSa (R53). I was a bit concerned when my loaner was a stripe-less BRG/W auto, as that was one of the color combinations my wife strongly considered for the MINI. When I got the loaner home and parked in the (dimly lit) garage, she remarked how she couldn't tell whether the car was green or grey. She then reiterated that she really likes the looks of the MY/B car.

Folks at work have been *unanimously* (and independently) supportive of my the R56's colo(u)rs vs. those of the R53. I've had no fewer than five people come up to me and ask what happened to my yellow car, and to find out whether it'll return or not. In each case they've been happy to hear that the green car will only be in the lot until the end of the week.

Now I don't know if they're just well trained in telling me what I want to hear, but after getting so much independent confirmation about my colo(u)r selection, I'm feeling even extra-jazzed about the choice.

*Personally*, I love the look of the MY/B and didn't much worry about other folks' opinions (I also happen to like red-heads more than blondes, but I'd never tell someone else their opinion in the matter was wrong). But there's some smug satisfaction to be had to find out that mine is the majority opinion.
