First off, yer spellin' yer name wrong... ...yer sposedta spellit the way ya pernounce it. Dang hoity toity BMW pilots...

I have the OE lights; you can get them here for $425. Minspeed also has a PIAA Kit.
I like the OE; I live in backwater GA and commute via backroads in the dark. Haven't sent a quadruped to his last reward yet.
The variety of OutMotoring Products is also worthy of note.

Come visit on your bike sometime and I'll show you the pigtrails that we like to run. Don't worry; we'll slow down for you...

Your SA is living in the past R53 era,the R56 OEMS DONT need to be coded in. I have them installed and I did it myself.

OK if you did it, you would know! I'm just repeating what he said.

Check that out. (I don't know anything about them but seem handy)

But could you not get something like that, the switch from
mini, and the brackets from mini?

The factory R50/53 driving lights do not need to be coded either, only the foglight retrofit kit. The SA may have confused the two.

Can you replace the factory driving lights with these bulbs? Would they be the same size and fit/easily replaced?

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the OEM driving lights? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
