Locking car without activating alarm?

Is there an easier way without going to the passenger side to lock the doors?

It seems like a little bit of a pain! Sometimes I leave my dog in there and I don't want her setting off the alarm. She's only in there 10 minutes or so at a time, but I'm paranoid about someone carrying my little dog off.

Thanks!

I believe if you press the lock button twice on your fob, it turns off the inside motion detector.

That is correct. You cannot complete disable the alarm but pressing the lock button on the fob twice does disable the internal motion sensors.

I'd asked my MA this same question two and a half months ago when I took delivery.

Thank you! That is very useful info. I wonder if that's anywhere in the manual...

No it isn't. There isn't a manual on the alarm either.

Oh, by the way, it shouldn't matter which door you use to lock it, I believe they both behave the same. The external sensors are always activated when locking it and the internal sensors can be deactivated when locking by using the fob is previously described, otherwise the internal sensors are always turned on as well.

Hello there,
I have an '04 MCS. Is there a way to activate and deactivate the alarm system. I don't mean with the FOB. I just got my car a couple weeks ago and it doesn't seem to have the alarm activated at all. The interior motion sensor also does not seem to be activated. Any advice?
THANKS
