FLEXcar?

So I've been living on campus here at UC Irvine for about a month now without my beloved R56 MCS. So everytime i see a MINI, especially an R56, I either point and yell with joy or run up to it if it's parked and check out what options the owner chose.
Anyway, there's a SS '07 MC that parks everyday in one of the reserved spots near the social science parking structure. When i first took a look at it I noticed that it was decal-ed/marked up saying (FLEXcar) on its bonnet, roof, and boot. After looking up what FLEXcar is (not to be confused with Flex-Fuel) I thought that it was pretty cool that they've added MINIs, especially R56's to their car-sharing program.

I drove a an 07 cabrio Flexcar at the Dragon earlier this year I couldn't make the drive down ... so I flew to ATL and rented the Flexcar. Matt (BrewSwapGuy) also rented - he had an R56 MC. My whole experience with Flexcar was great! Next time a visit a city - I'll just find a flex car

In the Bay Area, we have several "car share" rental companies including FlexCar, ZipCar and City CarShare. They all have the same concept of offering rentals to individuals and businesses that only need a car once in a while for a short time (even as little as a few hours) and could be picked up at locations throughout the city. They seem to have very similar fleets which include MINI, Scion, and Prius.
