Also, look at the Carbon Fiber material Colgan makes. It's nice as well.

Go with the Colgan bra. Got one for my '95 Probe GT 12 years ago and it looks as good as the day I bought it. I don't care for the clear materials, and the Colgan is cheaper and better lookin' than the factory bra.

Good luck on your quest...

I ordered a bra from Mini Mania and I have been waiting for about three weeks now. Not sure what is really going on with that vendor. Although I received an email today that they are waiting for shipment.

Ive recently had a cat try to run up my mini, tearing up part of my stripes =( I am going to have to get them redone, as the wind and small debris pull it up more and more... I was thinking of getting a clear bra to cover the entire hood (including stripes) would it work to have the stripes under the bra or is that possible?~ I'm going to head over to a vinyl/tint shop this weekend, but I was just curious as to whether anyone knows before then!

btw I checked with the dealer, and they said they wont take care of the stripes damage, regardless of how I got it which sucks as its 100 bucks for the stripes from them, and only 50 with install from my local shop owell!

My bra installer said that they strongly preferred the stripes go under the bra. But I've heard pros/cons for either set up.

If you put them under the bra it will protect the stripes, but you can't replace the stripes w/o replacing the bra as well. I'm not sure if you could put them over it and then remove them w/o pulling up the bra. I'd think not.

Cool, thanks! =) I'm going to put the stripes down (new ones) then put the clear bra on top.

I had a clear bra on a previous car, over time it looked worse and worse as the paint colour changed ( ie swirl marks and moderate fading etc) The mask itself became hazy from surface cleaning as well as every rock chip in the clear plastic showed! but at least it didn't go through the paint. IMO I would never go this route again. This was on a black car.

As long as you don't get lazy, with more effort the fabric bra's work well, you have to make sure you don't leave them on too long and make sure they are properly fitted.
