Great pics! Thank you.
We have been waiting since February and took the chance of putting a depoist down to reserve one of the four that the dealer will be receiving, since at that time ther were no demo bikes. The first production run was reduced from 2,500 to only 1,500 for Canada/USA. By being one of the first to purchase Can-AM tossed in a riding jacket and custom build plate installed on the Spyder.
They are taking orders but the estimated delivery for the next run is not till spring of next year. Hopefully they stay on schedule with production and the Spyder will arrive the end of this month or fist part of October.
Since they will be classified as a Roadster, here in CA there is no requirement for a motorcycle endorsement. Only problem riding the Spyder is people stopping in the streets to ask questions, they do attrack attention.
So the wait for Skeeter was short compared to the Spyder.
Congrats on the Mini, hope you have a fast delivery time.
If I remember correctly there are only three states that are going with the no endorsement requires, but WA & OR are not included.
Was over at the dealers yesterday to check about scheduled delivery time and there is still several "unknown" issues, such as how insurance
companies will classify it, if it will be allowed in the commuter lanes, how DMV fees will be calculated. So it will be "interesting" once we take delivery and start creating
confussion to the Highway Patrol and the SF police when we take it in the city. SF was one of the first to ban the Segway's, wait till they see the Spyer on their street.

I do agree that a cross-over vehicle creates confusion--the carpool lane is a no-brainer as long as the 2 passenger requirement is met.

I just want the Spyder to arrive on time, will still have a couple of months of riding weather before he will be parked in his new garage till spring. Will take him out a few times during the winter months here, but only on sunny dry days.
Not sure what post you are referencing without reading this whole thread. But what "weeping" I had was from one of the sprayers on the bonnet and the rear hatch window sprayer. The service manager knew exactly what the issue was, fixed and has not happend since. 95% of the posts about "weeping" that I have read has to do with this same issue.
Well the question for now is since CA allows motorcycles in the carpool lanes, will the Spyder be allowed. I'm not that concerned about it, but there was a biker looking at the demo bikes on one of our trial rides. That was his reasoning he would not buy one, but till they are on the road, no way of knowing what the law will decide.

I think a lot of "defining" is going to take place as road occurrence increases.
How is insurance classifying and insuring the spyder?
I asked my insurance agent about 5 weeks ago that same question, the main office is waiting to see how CA DMV classifies it. Which is "suppose" to be as a roadster. So I and about 80 (approx) other owners in CA will be the first to get taken by the insurance companies. The next shipments are not until early spring and then summer.

Well there is always the back up plan, if we are not happy with the Spyder, and since there will be a long wait for ordering.........list it on eBay and sell it for twice the list price.
