Any dealership in any state

Does anyone have recent info on dealer installed sirius radio in any state so I can reference that dealership to say to my dealership in California "hey, there installing it". I may need to get a portable unit this weekend if I can't take the wait anymore. If I new for sure it was only two more weeks, 3 weeks, etc. I will wait. :impatient

I haven't heard that the dealer installed option is available yet or not, I know the factory installed option is though.

My dealer on the east coast said this was a factory option if you want it done right. He said you could add Sirius aftermarket but it would be difficult to get it to work with the MFSW, which is the way to go. Apparently, in order to get this to work right, it has to be done factory style.

Just my speculation, but after seeing pics of people's nav/satellite radio combos, I think the Sirius package may come with the larger center dial screen to aid the navigation. Others have said it remains the factory radio standard 2 line display, but my dealer said the satellite radio was supposed to be modded into the factory radio. A bit unclear on what he meant. I am just trying to figure out what the extra $450 in the $950 charge is (lifetime Sirius subscription = $500 > $450 for what?)

Here is what I have been told:

Mini USA this week: will be available in early August. They had issues matching VINS which apparently they need for the dealer installs

My dealer - available within two weeks.

I will wait until early August - and see what happens. Otherwise I will go aftermarket and connect to the aentenna under the passenger seat.

Thanks moots, that's exactly the info I was hoping for. My MA said she was going to speak to their factory reps this week or next week and will post if I get some more information.
