I am glad this issue has been resolved and you have got the new Mini you were promised.

In D&R's defence the purchase of my 2006 JCW was a wonderful and pleasant experience. I am very picky with an eye for detail. Every small thing that I noticed was not quite to my satisfaction was dealt with immediately without problems.

I return every week for my free car wash and have found the staff to always be very helpful and attentive.

As an engineer I am faced daily with fault investigations that do not always have an obvious cause. The sequence of events is not always clear when suplemental damage 'muddies the waters' as to the root cause. It is probable that the dealer has used the extent of their investigation capabilities and the engine will require in depth analysis to determine the reason for failure. This takes both time and not an unsubstantial amount of money. If customer warranty shows this is not a recurring issue then is is probable the engine will just be scrapped with a root cause of failure not determined.

Hold in there with your Mini- it is worth it.

Since BMW is a Germany Company, guess Carfax assumes Mini's must be made in Germany then.
Or they were thinking of the rims, was just detailng mine and they were manufactured in Germany.
