The options you've named all seem to me to be worthwhile--happen to be on my own car . I'd think twice about the MFSW, though, if you want cruise control. It's the only way you can get it...

I am not trying to offend RX-8 owners but based on looks alone I have never even wanted to test drive one. IMHO they are not one of the least aesthetically pleasing sporty cars on the market right now.

For a while I thought the same way, but lately they've really grown on me for some reason. The ones with the appearance package and the rear spoiler can look downright sexy. The other nice thing to say about the RX-8's aesthetics is that they come with some very nice looking stock wheels. If I bought a MINI I think I'd have to stick with the cheapest ones available and then buy aftermarkets. I don't really care for any of the factory offerings, and the dealer installed options are way overpriced.

I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've used the cruise control in my car. Although with a MINI I could definitely see myself taking longer road trips 30MPG!!

I'd just like to take a moment and say thanks. I was so set on getting a MINI, and you've got me thinking RX-8 again. Dammit.

Hahaha, oops. Now we can sit and ponder together.

There was a post on the Tiburon forum just yesterday where a guy was considering an RX-8. Some Tib owners proceeded to tear the Renesis engine a new one, citing many recalls and warranty claims for engine failure. Back and forth I go... Definitely need to go test driving sometime in the near future.

Part of the cost of your car shows up when it's time to sell. Be sure to compare resale value. It won't mean much now but it definitely will mean a lot later on.
