Anything special about the jack points?

I want to get my tires rotated and balanced. It's $60 at the dealers and about half that at Discount Tire or NTB. Any reason I shouldn't go there? Anything to watch out for?

I have visions of that Lotus Elise that was lifted improperly!

Is discount tire going to torque the wheels to 103 lb ft? Or, are they just going to slam them on with a pneumatic hammer? There is more to it than where the car is lifted.

Whew. For $60 I would buy a torque wrench and do it myself. Next time, I save $60.

Can't believe your DT is charging for rotations. All the ones I am around do it for free (DFW area).

The rotation should be included in normal maintenance. If the wheels feel out of balance have the dealer check them for you.
