I have a 2012 r55 s. Car had problems starting and driving went in limp mode and now is dead. won't start at all. Had it scanned and was told it was the HPFP. Replaced it and nothing. Changed fuel filter and low pressure fuel pump and nothing. All fuses good as far as i know so are relays. Im new to working on mini"s. Where would one start and figure this thing out. Any help would be awesome. What scanner do people like to use that will work off their phone. Thanks and keep motoring

 

check for compression and spark.

check the ECU relays in the front. check the fuse box for water damage. remove the bottom connectors and see if there is corrosion...etc
