Transmission fluid and timing chain intervals. Help please.

I’m 26, and I don’t know much about cars. But I’m trying to learn. I want to keep my mini in optimal condition.

My concern is with this; that I was reading the manual... however, it didn’t mention transmission fluid change intervals nor timing belt.

Any insight?

Looks like the transmission fluid change -- automatic at least -- is due every 100K miles. My inclination would be to do this service have this service done before 100K miles. 50K miles maybe.

No manual transmission fluid service is called for at least at the site in the link but I'd change the fluid or have the fluid changed at 50K miles.

Other cars have required a manual transmission fluid/diff fluid service at 90K miles and I generally have this done if possible *early* (before 20K miles) and then at 45K miles to 60K miles thereafter. It varies some as I have this done when the car is in for other things and sometimes the shiop just doesn't have the time in its schedule to do all I want done so I have the most critical or due on time/miles things done and catch the other things next time.

Tried to get my 2018 JCW's 6-speed manual fluid changed but the service told me MINI/BMW has no "part number" for this service yet in its computer system. I plan on taking the car by the MINI service department Wed. to enquire about new front tires and I'll bring up the transmission fluid service.

As for the timing belt I do not believe the model/model year vehicle in question has a timing belt. The cam is chain driven and usually these have no replace by date or time called out. The cam chains in for example my Boxster fine even with 317K miles. Regular oil/filter services will see the chains, sprockets, guides, tensioners, along with the rest of the engine last a long time.

My 50c. The timing chain is prone to wear like any other mechanical part and being weak by design running on plastic guides that get brittle with age and heat, they do have a habit of 'letting go' wither by dint of the plastic guides breaking and or the chain jumping teeth and damaging valves.
I had a rattle from the chain at 48K miles and changed it out, would do the same at 100K. Preventative maintenance.
