Just picked her up last Friday w original battery. We probably will end up putting about 5k miles per year. Bought a ctek 4.3 charger as well. Had another charger for the boxster w cigarette lighter adapter. Read for gen 1 cig lighter port shut down after 15 mins. Does that hold true for clubman as well? That means I need to charge it under the hood connected to the battery directly?

 

Yes, the gen 2 cigarette lighter will shut down after about 15 minutes.
