Stripped threads smaller bolt on vacuum pump.

Tell me straight how bad I messed up. My vacuum pump has been leaky since I bought it a few months ago. I've been trying to chase the leak by oil changes and replacing the big o-ring on the vacuum pump. Well it was still leaking after I replaced it. So I thought maybe I didn't tighten up the bolts. Well the smaller rear one felt fairly loose so I went to tighten it and it never tightened. So I loosened it up and found the threads in the end of the bolt... So am I royally screwed? Can I at least drive it to a shop?
