I am in the middle of swapping a 82K mile N12 into my 08 Clubman. Got the engine out and swapping out what I need on it. Did little things already like putting a new crank to AC belt already.

The trans fluid looks dark so I am going to read up on that tonight and find the right filter and trans fluid tomorrow and get that done before I put the trans on the new engine. (just going to change it, not flush the trans that can cause problems if it wasn't done regularly.

Anything else that you think needs to be address while I have it tore down?

 

As long as you have the transmission separate from the engine, replace the engine crankshaft seal. Easy to do now, a pain to do later.
