How much space in back with rear seats folded down?

Kind of strange question, I've only test driven one mini clubman so far and I forgot my tape measure...

I have hobby stuff where I need to fit a box that's exactly 48" long and 2'x2'

Will that fit straight in the black with the seats folded down?

This is the specific reason I'm looking at clubman vs a regular mini S

Thank you

Matthew

I “think” it will fit, but I haven’t measured to confirm.

If you don’t get a response by this afternoon, I’ll double check for you. I’m always amazed at how much I can squeeze into the back of the Clubman.

Thank you, I'd really appreciate it...

Everywhere they tell you the cubic feet of storage, but nowhere is the depth and width with the seats down!

What part of Connecticut are you in? My mother in
Law passed away two weeks ago, she was in southbury, we will be down there the weekend of 8/12 doing estate stuff

52 inches long, depending how tall you are with your seat settings, by 32 inches wide and with the door opening in the back being 24-1/2 inches high..

I just double checked and I get 24 tall at the rear doors x 32 wide at the rear seats x 51between the doors and behind the driver seat adjusted for myself. If you need 48 long, should be more than enough.

I live up the other side of Hartford from Southbury.

Thank you Nick and Spyder for the feedback!

I had to be 100% sure it would fit in a clubman and the only MINIs nearby are not clubman...

Two of my hobbies are model trains and long distance shooting

48" covers both of those, plus with a roof rack kayak paddles etc.

Has anyone tried putting snowboards in the back? From these numbers, it looks realllly close. I doubt my 29er will fit either, even with the front wheel off unless I can really contort it. These aren't dealbreakers in my search, but it would definitely make life easier.

I’ve had my skis in the back of mine. They are 191’s. Had the rear seats folded, and the skis sticking between the front seats. A roof rack would have made it an easier transport, but I don’t have one yet. Next year!

I can get my 58cm road bike in back with the front wheel and seat post off....I have to move the passenger seat all the way forward.

space in the back

Not sure what the measurements are but I have had pretty good luck getting stuff into my Clubman. Last Christmas, I was able to fit a pretty good sized Christmas tree from Home Depot INSIDE the car and get the barn doors closed. Impressive!

Yeah, I have no doubt it has good room. My wife and I haven't had a car with more than two doors for several years, so we have surprised ourselves before with what fits in a small car. Biggest problem with my current daily is the small trunk opening, so the Clubman is super ideal in that regard even though it seems to be significantly shorter.

Update! I took a test drive the other day, swung by my house, and test fit my mountain bike. It fit perfectly (read: not an inch to spare) without much work at all!

I know this is an older post but I wanted to comment, I hauled a smaller server rack in my clubby the other day its dimensions are 23w 30d 52.5h so it fit but I had to push both seats all the way forward hence not much leg room for me, I'm only 5'10" but I managed it was a short ride home.
