Remus Exhaust

I've had my Clubman S since 2012 and I should have done this sooner. It has a nice raspy sound under full load. Yet while just cruising, it's a tiny bit louder, but no drone whatsoever. Absolutely no drone. I'd get rid of it if it had any. The pops and gurgles have more of a bass note now too, but not loud enough to set off car alarms. The Sport button has been engaged almost 100% of the time since install because I love the pops and gurgles.

I highly recommend one if you want a little more grunt.

It's axle back from what I discussed with a sales rep.

I think for the price, the Remus is a little bit rediculius. Almost a full grand for a couple of back boxes? WTF. You can get a Milltek for a little bit more, and that will replace everything from the downpipe back. Heck, even the Magnaflow is a better deal. For a couple of mufflers, the JCW ones are even less expensive.

The JCW version want going to be much cheaper, and IMO, the Remus sounds better. I like miltek, as I had one on my old GTI, but it was going to be another few hundred bucks on top of the few hundred that I spent over the JCW. I didn't want to go down that rabbit hole.

Biggest thing was, it has zero drone. I love it.

Cost alone is enough justification to NOT add one to my MCCS. $1100 is insane for some stainless tubing and mufflers. I've been researching universal mufflers and having a shop mandrel bend tubing. We will see.

I contacted Remus directly after someone posted a clip on a fb group. It wasn't $1,100. And I got a free T-shirt (I know I paid for it). Good luck getting one from a muffler shop. Anywho, just having fun with my car.
